Nevada Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Sixth Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.)

For the sixth year, local community and statewide first responders will be recognized at a free family event in Las Vegas, Nevada. This annual event was first created as a means to show how greatly these law enforcement agents are appreciated for their continuous efforts to protect and serve Nevada residents and visitors.

Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite blue attire and to be prepared for fun, food, and meet and greet opportunities with lots of everyday heroes

Hoving Home Gala

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Team enjoyed hosting a few of our community partners at Hoving Home’s 9th Annual Gala on October 11, 2019. It was a wonderful evening hearing the life stories of a few women who graduated the program, including a few who are paying it forward by working at one of the five campuses.

“I had the pleasure of speaking at last year’s Gala and the ladies stories of transformation left a truly lasting impression. When the choir of all women who are in the program hit the stage, I was deeply moved by the realization of the thousands of lives being transformed by the Hoving Home,” stated Glen Lerner.

How Proceeds from the Hoving Home Gala Make a Difference

The funds raised through their annual gala help Hoving Home to continue providing a home and special curriculum to women for an entire year who seek assistance in learning how to deal with controlling issues, such as drugs and alcohol.

The Walter Hoving Home is a non-profit ministry that began in Garrison, New York in 1967 by John and Elsie Benton. In 2006, the Walter Hoving Home opened a home in Las Vegas, Nevada. The organization is very encouraged to witness the dedication of these women as they turn their lives around.

Las Vegas Night Out

Our Lerner and Rowe team attended National Night Out with Metro PD’s North East Area Command and Clark County School District PD. We handed out over 475 reflective Slap-Bracelets to children encouraging them to wear them when the Trick or Treat.

It was a wonderful night to support our law enforcement while they engage the community.
