POSA OUTREACH 2013 – Christmas Shop with a Cop

11th Annual POSA Shop with a CopLerner and Rowe Gives Back donated $2000 to POSA Outreach’s annual Shop with a Cop Christmas program to benefit local at-risk youths.

POSA Christmas Shop with a Cop Program

On Saturday, December 21, law enforcement officers from 10 Phoenix Valley agencies will join over 300 at-risk youths for a festive Christmas breakfast.  Right after their bellies are full, the children will receive a police escort to a retail location where each child will have $150 to spend on clothing, food, and a special toy.

Children who are selected to participate in the Christmas Shop with a Cop program are carefully screened by local community outreach programs and the City of Scottsdale School Resource Officers.  This screening process helps ensure that each youth who is selected is doing well in school, has been staying out of trouble, and will now be able to enjoy a Christmas or holiday season they otherwise would not have.
