Each year Vegas PBS participates in PBS KIDS writing contest. Southern Nevada children in grades K-5 are given creative license to write stories that include original drawings, photographs, collages or 3D art.
Out of approximately 1,144 students, 18 kids (three from each grade) were invited to an honorary dinner and awards ceremony on May 20, 2015.
Vegas PBS Ready To Learn (RTL) project coordinated the contest. Our personal injury law firm is pleased to congratulate the winners and sponsor their tuition fees to attend Southern Nevada Writing Project’s 2015 writing camp.
The writing camp is scheduled to take place June 15-26. Deadline is June 5, 2015. Cost is $250 per child for 10 half days; price includes mid-morning snack, a commemorative t-shirt, and an anthology of student writing.
