Baller Dream Foundation (BDF) serves youth and young people on their cancer journey. Rather than thinking of the children as “patients” they call themselves “ballers” and like to live a baller lifestyle, making the most of every day. Lerner and Rowe Gives Back granted them $5,000 for a fun family night out at Octane Raceway.
From Treatment, Remission, and Beyond
BDF was created to ease some of the emotional and financial burden that families face when they are battling cancer. Through major gifting, in-hospital programming, community activities, and financial support, Baller Dream develops lasting relationships to create an environment where kids feel supported, families feel connected, and communities feel inspired.
Since its inception, BDF has worked with local hospitals to impact more than 600 cancer warriors and their families in Arizona.
BDF currently provides in-hospital support, programming, art therapy, developmental toys, and diversionary activities at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Banner Thunderbird, as well as Banner Desert Campuses.
