Veterans of all generations are personally recognized by friends, families and loved ones at the 7th Annual Honor Walk and 5k Fun Run on Sunday, November 12th at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix. We are proud to be the Silver Founders Circle Membership sponsors of this years walk and 5k. With over 600,000 veterans in the Arizona area, it’s important that we do our part in honoring and supporting them for their service.
If you’d like to participate, all U.S. Veterans or children 8 and under walk for free, although you must be registered to participate. Registration for non-veterans is $35/person or $55 if you’d like a T-Shirt. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Soldiers R U.S., which is a local group sending out necessary supplies to our deployed military along with Bootstrap USA, a program assisting veterans with PTSD, USVets and MANA House, each dedicated to servicing homeless veterans. We hope that our community will come out to this event and help us in supporting our veterans!
On Saturday Sept. 16, our team was able to donate 3 cars loaded down with supplies to go towards the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. There were so many people out at the University of Phoenix’s Stadium volunteering and bringing items and supplies to donate. It’s so great to see the community coming together to help people in need, it truly shows the compassion that human’s are capable of. Special thanks to Channel 13 and the Salvation Army for organizing the Arizona Cares Hurricane Relief drive and giving us the opportunity to participate and give back.
We’re joining in for some more hurricane relief efforts. Channel 12 News is teaming up with the Salvation Army to collect as well as transport and distribute supplies to the victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Our firm will be loading up several vehicles with donated supplies to be delivered to the University of Phoenix Stadium on Saturday Sept. 16. Collections will begin at 6 a.m. and will go until the entire trailer is full. We encourage anyone and everyone from the community to come out and join us in giving back.
