This passed Saturday members of our team went pink from their heads to their feet for the 2nd Annual Pink Out 5k. The event took place at Steele Indian School Park from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It was a fun and festive way to give back and show our support of women and their families that have been effected by breast cancer!

Lerner & Rowe Gives Back hosted two Back to School Supplies Giveaways in the Phoenix & Tucson areas. Our primary goal with each of these events was to give back and focus on helping local school aged kids in need.
Kevin Rowe is very passionate about making a difference in Arizona communities. He had the following to share regarding the 2018 Back to School Supplies Giveaways, “We want give back and help families. We also want to help kids get through any obstacles they have so they have an opportunity to learn, get a great education and make something of themselves so they have a great life.”
Watch this video and see for yourself the awesome turnout for both events. You’ll also learn more about the founding of the Lerner and Rowe Gives Back foundation:
Lerner and Rowe Gives Back’s $5,000 Donation to Benefit Arizona Humane Society
(8/15/18 Update) The location of the 5th Annual Heat Stroke Open has been moved to McCormick Ranch Golf Course in Scottsdale. Start time and golfer rules have not changed.
Lerner and Rowe Gives Back founder Kevin Rowe stopped by Arizona radio station 98KUPD to drop off a $5,000 check for the 2018 Holmberg’s Heat Stroke Open on August 25th at Talking Stick Resort.
Jim Holmberg shared his enthusiasm regarding the donation by commenting,”…with the Heat Stroke Open coming up on August 25th, this guy is dropping a check off for $5,000. Which will make this the biggest Heat Stroke Open donation to the Humane Society by far in any of the years we’ve done this.”
Holmberg also extended his appreciation for how Lerner and Rowe Gives Back teamed up with the radio station for the station’s annual Operation Hydration water drive. As part of that partnership, we’ve agreed to double any water donations the station receives in a collaborative effort to support the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s summer heat relief campaign. This partnership is in addition to our own water bottle collection drive.
We are thrilled to announce that over 2,000 disadvantaged school aged youth in Tucson and Phoenix showed up for our annual Lerner and Rowe Back to School events. Even with these two community events behind us, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Foundation is still not through assisting Arizona students prepare for the upcoming school year.

Kevin Rowe upped the ante by agreeing to give Soldier’s Best Friends a total of $8,500 to help bump the total funds raised for Veterans to just under $60k!
The original amount Lerner and Rowe Gives Back planned to donate was $4,500. It was then raised to $5,000.
However, during Kevin’s on-air interview with KSLX, a grand total amount was announced for the fundraiser. At that point he decided to increase the total donation amount to $8,500.
Which helped bump the final tally to just under $60k – so 12 Veteran’s will be paired with a service companion!!! On average Soldier’s Best Friend pairs an approximately 60 soldiers and dog a year.

Donation Match to Benefit Soldier’s Best Friends
Soldier’s Best Friend is an Arizona-based 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization who are dedicated to pair, train and provide service dogs and at no cost to the veteran. All this week Mark and Neanderpaul of KSLX team up with Soldier’s Best Friend to help raise funds to cover the costs of pairing four specialty-trained dogs with four Vets with disabilities. Lerner and Rowe Gives Back loves how these radio hosts are taking action to make a difference in the lives of four local combat Veterans.
To help reach this goal of pairing four pets with four Vets, we’ve agreed to pitch in and match up to $4,500 in donations – the price of one dog!
Thank you to Maricopa County for honoring us this morning for our $25K donation to the #LovePup Hip to Chip program! Also, a HUGE thank you to Johnjay Van Es for the invite to be a part of such an incredible organization.
